To calculate painting rate analysis we have to separately calculate each material cost including white washing, Glue, color pigment, wall putty, primer & paint as well as labour cost and adding them together we can find out the rate for wall painting.

Given,

length of long wall = 7750mm = 7.5m

length of short wall =3000mm = 3m

width = 250mm = 0.25m

height = 3500mm = 3.5m

No. of walls to be painted = 5

## Material rate analysis of white washing

Area of long wall = area of inner surface+area of outer surface+area of top surface

= (Length*height)+(Length*height)+(Length*width)

= (7.5*3.5)+(7.5*3.5)+(7.5*0.25) = 54.375 m^2

*Total area of long wall = 54.375*2 = 108.75 m^2*

Area of short wall = area of inner surface+area of outer surface+area of top surface

= (Length*height)+(Length*height)+(Length*width)

= (3*3.5)+(3*3.5)+(3*0.25) = 21.75 m^2

**Total area of long wall = 21.75*3 = 65.25 m^2**

### Quantity

3.5kg/10m² lime with 0.12kg glue is required for 3 coat white washing

since, total area of the walls = 108.75+65.25 = *174 m^2*

Lime quantity = 3.5/10 = X/174

X = 60.9 ~ 70 Kg

Glue quantity = 0.12/10 = X/174

= 2.088 ~ 2.1 Kg

color pigment quantity = lump sum

**Rate assumption**

Lime/kg = ₹ 80

Glue/kg = ₹ 250

color pigment = ₹ 100 (Lump sum)

**Amount**

Lime = 70*80 = ₹ 5600

Glue = 2.1*250 = ₹ 525

## Material rate analysis of wall putty, primer & paint

### Quantity

Wall putty required for double coat (1.3-1.4)m²/kg

Total area of the walls = 174 m^2

primer required (11-13)m²/litre

paint required (11-13)m²/litre

Wall putty quantity = 1/1.4 = X/174

X = 124.28 ~ 124.3 Kg

Primer quantity = 1/11 = X/174

X = 15.818 ~ 15.82 Litre

Paint quantity = 1/13= X/174

X = 13.38 ~ 13.4 Litre

Wall putty/kg = ₹ 30

Primer/litre = ₹ 50

Paint/litre = ₹ 100

Wall putty = 124.3*30 = ₹ 3729

Primer = 15.82*50 = ₹ 791
